Vantage Mobility International converts minivans and full-sized vans from Ford, Chrysler, Dodge and Honda for use by people with disabilities. They do this within the warranty of the original manufacturer and have their full trust and support. Since opening their doors more than 18 years ago, they've continued to explore new ways to give their customers the freedom to experience, explore and enjoy an active, mobile lifestyle. Their efforts have produced the most reliable, highest quality and most easily accessible transportation in the world.

Desktop Integration
We created an application to make the VMI website more accessible to people that may have difficulty using a keyboard. This creates a logo shortcut to the website on their desktop. It also communicates empathy, caring, sensitivity and service. VMI is there to make things easier.

User Profiling
We identified four distinct audiences for VMI: Senior/Mature, Active/Independent, Parents and Caregivers. When a person interested in a van conversion for mobility approaches a physical dealership, that dealer can prepare for the conversation by observation. The dealer adjusts based on whether the person has a disability or not. Once a visitor selects a profile, the site can begin speaking to their interests and making solid recommendations.

Localization
We have an application that with a high degree of accuracy, presents the closest dealer to the visitor automatically. This removes a step in the process (no need to enter a zip code) and increases the number of leads requesting an appointment with a dealer. When a person makes an appointment to visit a dealership, the close rate increases significantly.

VMI had to respond to changing market needs rapidly. Sales and earnings had flattened out, customers were apathetic, and our shareholders we're anxious for immediate results. Leads had fallen from 8000 annual to less than 2000. Brand equity was down. Five months following the launch of our newly designed website (launch date, Nov 2005) by ThoughtLava, I'm pleased to report our sales are up 20%, year over year.
